Over the past months, I began to discern it was time for a vocational shift. So with the blessing and support of Music that Makes Community’s Board of Trustees, I conclude my service on December 1. My amazing colleague and friend Conie Borchardt will step into leadership and I’m excited for all that’s ahead for Music that Makes Community.
Read MoreIn late August, I had the opportunity to visit St. John’s College, a historic university in Annapolis, MD, to offer the Friday Dean’s Lecture. I had a joyous time rehearsing with their Freshman Choir and was awed by the deep listening and questions students offered after the lecture. I had the pleasure of leading the song at The Hymn Society’s Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. in July 2022.
Pray with Our Feet was also included in the We Cry Justice Cultural Arts Project of The Poor People’s Campaign.
I’m grateful to be included in the most recent edition of Call to Worship, the liturgical journal of the Presbyterian Church (USA). There’s a fun photo on the cover as well as an article focused on paperless singing and my work with Music that Makes Community. And I was delighted to read the work of so many colleagues and friends in the same edition.
