I’m grateful for the opportunity to journey with Calvary Lutheran Church in Dover, PA while Pastor Abby Leese is on sabbatical. Thanks to the support of a Lilly Clergy Sabbatical Grant, I’ll collaborate with the congregation’s musicians and sabbatical pastor to encourage and strengthen the congregation’s musical participation in worship, as well as model varied approaches to sung prayer.

The residency also includes a day-long worship workshop with the congregation to share congregational songs and teaching practices that the community can explore during and after the sabbatical. It promises to be a rich and joyful time of community learning!
