Our January travel seminar to Kenya with faculty and students from Eden Theological Seminary was a powerful experience of cross-cultural learning and theological engagement. While I shared many photos on social media during the trip, this Adobe spark presentation traces our journey and celebrates the many gifts we received from this beautiful country and its people.

The joy you see in these photos isn't because this was a vacation, but has something to do with how being in an unfamiliar context invited us to find and create community in new ways - with our colleagues, with our hosts, and with people we had never met before. In some prescient way, it gave us nourishment (and some real life tools) to find our way through what we're experiencing in this time of pandemic.
