keep us faithful

August 12, 2020 by Paul Vasile in Music, Congregational Song

Keep Us Faithful was commissioned for Arlington Presbyterian Church for their move and grand opening of their new home at Gilliam Place. Read about their journey as a congregation and their commitment to create affordable housing in their community.

Written with input from Susan Etherton and their amazing community musician Abby Madden (who created this video), it's a walking/journey song that names what the community was called to do but also reaffirms the call of God in the present and future.

We have been called to listen and called to act.
We have been called to tear down and called to build,
and we’re still people on a journey, our work isn’t done.
Keep us faithful (faithful), faithful (faithful) faithful (faithful),
faithful in the way of love.

Keep us seeking, waiting, planting, resisting,
faithful in the way of love.

Keep us fighting, walking, loving, learning,
faithful in the way of love.

I’ll post music for purchase soon, but in the meantime enjoy this setting of the song by friends from APC!
